WHAT IS ADAS?

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) help drivers by providing warnings and assisting with maneuvers to prevent collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians, or stationary objects. ADAS is a broad term encompassing systems that rely on sensors, radars, lasers, ultrasound, and cameras. These systems include lane departure warnings, pedestrian detection, parking assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, and forward collision alerts, among others. As vehicles become increasingly computerized and equipped with more sensors and cameras, the number and capabilities of ADAS systems are expected to expand further.
